10 Categories Every Emergency Manual Should Include

To make your Emergency Manual easy to navigate, it’s best to organize it into clear categories. Here’s a breakdown of 10 essential sections:

1. Personal Identification Details

Include key information like full names, addresses, dates of birth, blood groups, and identification numbers (e.g., Aadhaar, PAN, Social Security). This ensures anyone helping you can quickly verify your identity or assist with legal paperwork.

2. Emergency Contacts

List the contact details of close family, trusted friends, doctors, and other professionals like lawyers or financial advisors. Specify whom to contact for different emergencies.

3. Medical Information

Document any medical conditions, allergies, regular medications, and the names of your healthcare providers. Keep a copy of health insurance policies and medical history reports here.

4. Financial Details

Record your bank account numbers, IFSC codes, credit card details, and loan or mortgage information. Include contact information for your financial institutions. Note: Do not store sensitive passwords in this document—use a secure password manager instead.

5. Insurance Policies

List all insurance policies (health, life, vehicle, property, etc.) along with their policy numbers, coverage details, and claim procedures.
